Ernest Shackleton never reached the pole he set out for. What he did instead was bring every single one of his men home alive, across some of the most unforgiving distance on Earth, when giving up would have cost him nothing but his pride.

The Ernest was created in his honor — not to imitate anything he carried, but to stand for what he stood for: going further than seems reasonable, and never leaving anyone behind to do it.
